Complete Description:
To provide excellent customer service and assist the patient care team by providing nursing/medical assistance to the licensed providers for patients scheduled clinic visit. Provides operational assistance, ensuring and coordinating the intake and rooming of patients to effectively manage the patient visit cycle time.
The formal education normally associated with completely satisfactory performance in this job is a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of a Medical Assistant program or related experience is required. A minimum of one year of related experience is preferred. Experience in a healthcare setting or customer service focused industry is preferred. Outpatient clinic operations experience is preferred. Completion of certification encouraged within one year of hire.Required for completely satisfactory performance in this job is knowledge of development stages in pediatric patients, nursing/medical assistant patient care tasks, the managed care industry, related medical terminology and customer service concepts.
Required for completely satisfactory performance in this job is the ability to operate proficiently a personal computer and basic clinic/patient care, office equipment; demonstrate interpersonal skills; demonstrate good verbal communication skills; demonstrate good time management skills and provide excellent customer service skills. The ability to demonstrate quick decision making and self-initiated work behaviors are necessary. Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred. |
