Chief Nursing Officer
Permanent Full Time Position
The Chief Nursing Officer is responsible for ensuring safe, effective, efficient, and compassionate patient care to the patients of the hospital as a member of our executive team.
The Chief Nursing Officer provides guidance and leadership in the development and implementation of patient care and establishes the standards for patient care, nursing practice, and nursing performance.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide comprehensive oversight to patient care and clinical services within the hospital.

Develops and implements adherence to policies and procedures.

Participates in the strategic short and long-term development of goals and objectives of the hospital.

Directs the development of goals and objectives for patient care and clinical services.

Defines standards of care for nursing and patient care services which promote and facilitate a multidisciplinary approach to patient care and coordination of care, meeting regulatory requirements, legal standards, and integrated evidence based practices.

Provides direction in development of planned, systematic processes for monitoring, evaluating, and improving the quality and appropriateness of nursing and patient care services.

Provides direction in establishing the resource allocation priorities for the provision of nursing and patient care services, including the appropriate number and qualifications of staff members to provide care for patients.

Ensures compliance, utilization and understanding of management information systems as essential to the provision of quality care, management decision-making and performance improvement.

Serves as a change agent assisting staff to assimilate change in processes and practices.

Maintains and promotes a personal, professional philosophy of community involvement by participating in professional and community activities.

Demonstrates initiatives in professional development.

Fosters an environment of professionalism, collegiality and collaboration, and ethical practice.
Job Requirements:
Critical Care clinical background with progressive leadership experience
