APC Medical Coding Coordinator - Ambulatory Payment Process

We are seeking an experienced ambulatory medical coder with a minimum of 3 years of experience in outpatient coding with leadership experience to coordinate our ambulatory coding department.

This position will focus on the overall process of ambulatory coding to ensure accuracy and completeness of the department.

Monitor the DNFB report for all outpatient accounts not final billed. Address all edits to resolve issues with Payors and Fiscal Intermediaries to ensure proper reimbusement of hospital billing.

Support Patient Accounting by providing information on ICD9 and CPT coding to resolve revenue cycle issues.

Remains current on Federal guideline changes which affect coding methodology and APC assignment

Monitor and correct issues identified on the revenue cycle reports.

This is a Monday - Friday/ Day shift position. Full Time/ Permanent position
Job Requirements
RHIT or RHIA or CCS required
Minimum 3 years of outpatient medical coding experience
Comprehensive knowledge of coding practices and procedures
