| Position Description: |
The Training Specialist provides a variety of training activities for employees at Sutter Health by developing and maintaining the education process for the E HR Application implementation. The Training Specialist develop curriculum, lesson plans, update quick reference training documents and development of training manuals utilizing the approved collaborative style guide. The incumbent will mentor Trainers from the Sacramento Sierra Region IT Department. The incumbent leads in coordinating and conducting training for new IT department/ project implementations and optimization. In addition, this position will identify, coordinate and train key users to serve as trainers during project implementations, optimization, as well as assist with procedure standardization and employee development as it relates to all applications trained. The incumbent will actively lead and/or participate in user groups to implement, test, and pilot new IT projects/initiatives assigned by the Training Supervisor or Regional Application Manager. The scope of training provided includes mentoring SSR Trainers, preparing presentations, coordinating and instructing training classes for clinicians, managers, mentors, supervisors and end users for IT clinical systems. The incumbent maintains data systems and schedules. The incumbent will provide, as needed, additional training in the areas of upgrades and system changes, and will assist in the development of supplemental training materials as required to maintain training documentation.

| Experience Required: |
MINIMUM POSITIONS REQUIREMENTS: Education: Associate's Degree or equivalent education plus the knowledge and experience sufficient to assist with adult education of Sutter standard systems, applicable applications and/or devices, and employee development in a healthcare environment is required Experienced or adult education training Experience: Knowledge of healthcare delivery, clinical practice, and healthcare operational support. Experience with Electronic Health record systems is highly desired. Knowledge of software implementation training programs as well as experience as a trainer is preferred. Knowledge of training program development, coordination and communications. Skills in IT training to successfully manage a complex regional E HR training program. Knowledge of Care Center/ Hospital operations and structure. General knowledge of E HR requirements and clinical systems in large integrated delivery system. Curriculum design and presentation is required. Significant prior experience preferred conducting formalized training. Experience using computerized system in a healthcare environment is preferred. Prior experience working in a fast paced, matrixed office environment is preferred. Experience using office equipment - copy machines and printers with multiple functions such as stapling, collating, two sided printing and faxing is required. Experience scheduling and coordinating rooms and events is preferred. Ability to learn new functionality, applications, and/or devices in a timely manner to understand operating systems and workflow to create training curriculum and materials. Skill in writing accurate, concise, logical, and grammatically correct documents, tests, and assessments. Skill in coordinating training sessions by determining the time, date, place, and sequence of actions to accomplish a required task. Skill in working independently and following through on assignments with minimal supervision. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with care center and support services staff. Ability to use MS Office Suite Ability to use basic PC's, standard desktop software, Web meeting application/ Virtual PC software Requirements Valid California driver's license This position requires travel between facilities in the Sacramento Sierra region and the ability to adapt to fast- paced work, variable workload, and variable working hours.
