| Position Description: |
Seeking Enterprise Architect who possesses network integration experience with *like* "federal integrator" organizations
*will not* be government client facing, internal infrastructure only.**
The successful candidate will be a seasoned professional who has intimate knowledge of networks, security within the networks (FISMA- Federal Information Security Management Act), and applications (in heavier skill order). Additionally he/she will have experience in "cradle to grave" implementations in this type of internal enterprise infrastructure. The focus of this individual will be to assess current state, develop/build solutions and implement with a vision for the organization. The individual will be expected to be an active participant and leader within the CIO organization providing architectural, network, and security expertise to current as well as long range plans and solutions.
The EA will provide a robust, cost effective, and secure IT Architecture serving the needs of a variety of stakeholders. The individual will provide a mix of enterprise architectural expertise and hands-on experience in the development and implementation of the solution. Past experience should include working within a corporate IT environment in organizations similar to company. This position requires an individual with excellent interpersonal skills able to work with the various corporate support and line organizations.
Duties are but not limited to:
- Identify technologies and tools to implement the critical elements of the enterprise architecture. Research, analyze, design, propose and deliver solutions that are appropriate for the business and technology strategies.
- Provide overall direction, guidance and definition of company's technical architecture to effectively support the corporate business strategy and increase operational efficiencies.
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to establish and maintain and communicate a technical enterprise roadmap.
- Create, apply and evolve an enterprise architecture with a clearly defined business value and ROI based on company's IT strategy.
- Reduce overall complexity, increase agility, and drive company's long term IT strategy.
- Interface across all business areas and IT organization, acting as visionary to proactively assist in defining the direction for future projects and ensuring consistent implementation and operation of current projects
- Identify solutions, build consensus, and execute effectively through an established common enterprise architecture vision amongst architects and IT project leaders.
- Provide leadership to highly complex projects that require in-depth knowledge across multiple technical areas and business segments.
- Rationalize, maintain and evolve the application portfolio.
- Provide technical expertise and consultation to executive leadership and business leaders.
- Lead in the development of and ensure governance of architecture principles and standards; create internal standards that fit the current and future needs of company.
- Participate in the implementation planning of the approved architecture, and execution as required.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of Corporate Continuity Plans.
- Define metrics to measure progress and effectiveness of company enterprise architecture solutions and applications
- Stay informed of industry trends and emerging technologies to advance the company competitively and protect company assets and information.
- Coach and mentor more junior staff members.
- Occasional travel required approximately 10%

| Experience Required: |
Minimum 7+ to 10 years experience
Required: Skills
- Ability to facilitate the collection of business requirements and document them both in IT and business terms with cost estimates of effort and resources
- Experience integrating packaged software into a complex IT environment. Strong technical knowledge of database and web architectures and applications
- Service oriented architecture implementation and governance experience
- ERP implementation and operational experience including advanced reporting and document management.
- Experience architecting and deploying enterprise network architecture, including ensuring network adheres to network security best-practices
- Experience with Sharepoint or other similar collaboration and document management platforms
- Knowledge and relevant experience with enterprise compliance with Government and other standards including FISMA and ITAR
- Ability to conduct research into a variety of infrastructure technologies as required. Experience with design and implementation of complex technical environments using multiple technologies and languages
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong project management skills with demonstrated experience in delivering required functionality on time and on budget without compromising company architecture or quality
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with all levels of managements and staff, including through formal presentation.
- Experience with the application of Web2.0 technologies and wireless connectivity within the Enterprise.
- Position requires US Citizenship and must able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance; preferred already possesses
***Corporate infrastructure experience needs to be 75% vs. government client infrastructure.***
This position will report directly to the CIO and will have executive visibility. This is not a management position; not a leader of many, more strategic. This is a new position.
Strong experience with architectural integration implementation (i.e. practical design (hands-on/doer) versus process planning/business continuity)
Ideal candidate will have worked for Bearing Point, Lockheed Martin, Northrup Grumman, SAIC |
