| Position Description: |
NICU Pharmacist
The Neonatal Intensive Care / Pediatric Clinical Pharmacist Specialist provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care in Health System and specifically in the NICU and PICU through integrated patient assessment and monitoring, standardization of drug distribution, clinical service, teaching and pharmacy representation in Medical and Nursing staff.
*Pharm. D. required.
*Substantial neonatal intensive care / pediatric experience or has completed an ASHP-accredited residency in pediatrics with two years experience preferred.
*Experience in Pharmacotherapy, Oncology or Nutrition Support is highly desired.
*Licensed as a pharmacist in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
*Must maintain competency in unique aspects of drug therapy for neonatal/pediatric patients.
*Must demonstrate professional and clinical knowledge of current drug therapy.
*Must be able to provide clinical leadership and education.
