The Coder takes exceptional care of people by assigning diagnosis and procedure codes in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Associate''s Degree in Health Information Management (HIM)
- Certified and/or registered in one of the following:
- Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)
- Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA)
- Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
- Certified Coding Specialist - Physician-based (CCS-P)
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) Certification
- Basic Computer/Keyboarding Skills
- Medical Terminology
