The Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF) for Health Care, Research and Education is a not-for-profit, community-based multispecialty group practice of medicine. PAMF patients are cared for by the more than 850 physicians from the three historic medical groups affiliated with PAMF: Camino Medical Group (CMG), Palo Alto Medical Clinic (PAMC) and Santa Cruz Medical Clinic (SCMC). PAMF provides care to patients at its clinics and medical centers throughout Alameda, San Mateo, Santa Clara and Santa Cruz counties.

| Experience Required: |
The Information Management Analyst's primary responsibility is to support the data needs of PAMF's Research Institute projects in the areas of quality improvement, health care financing and organization, medical informatics, and/or clinical research. The key activities to support this effort will be the extraction of data from clinical systems and data warehouses, preparation of data for statistical analysis, and validation of all data sets produced. Requirements include BA/BS in Information Systems or equivalent in education and experience; demonstrated knowledge of data warehouse and data management technologies required; experience in health care, electronic medical records, and/or health policy research preferred; partner with the Principal Investigator and Statistician to efficiently build tables and data sets for the research team; excellent interpersonal, organizational, troubleshooting, verbal and written communication skills.
The following technical skills are required:
- Data base design and development. Preferred tools: SQL Server 2005, Transact-SQL, SSIS packages, Stored Procedures
- Data warehouse load processes. Preferred tools: Transact-SQL
- Data retrieval and analysis tools. Preferred tools: SAS, Crystal Reports, and Excel
