| Position Description: |
Information Security Administrator
High Growth, High Quality Community-Oriented Hospital
You'll have the opportunity to do the following:
Manage the implementation and maintain a Hospital wide Information Security Program.
Collaborate with Risk Management, Audit, Corporate Compliance, Information Services and JMC Senior Leadership team to ensure up-to-date policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, ARRA (HiTech Act) and general information security policies and standards through periodic reviews of the activities of the Information Services Department, including IDS and firewall logs, Patch management records, etc.
Evaluate efficacy of security practices, including patch management and change control practices, IDS and firewall monitoring, user access controls, etc.
Oversee security investigations, including investigating and reporting of IT security breaches and incidents.
Monitor Information Security Risk Assessment Plan, threat/ risk assessment and controls.
Monitor the level of technology risk within the Hospital and provide security reports to management, summarizing changes in risk assessments, security related activity (e.g. attempted security breaches, responses, execution of security controls, etc.).
Interact with all auditors in relation to review of the security framework.
Provide subject matter advice to management on operational Information Security issues and revisions to Information Security Policies and procedures.
Review results of vulnerability assessments and related internal and external vulnerability scans and penetration tests.
Promote awareness of Information Security Policies and best practices.
Review security administration procedures and activities, both in Information Technology and in non-electronic information environments.
Initiate and maintain Industry Standard external Information Security alert agency mailings such as (FS/ISAC), SANS @Risk, etc.
You must possess these minimum background requirements:
Minimum of 5+ years experience and understanding of computer security activities
BS, BA or BBA Degree strongly preferred.
Strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
Comprehensive project management experience with firewalls, operating system lockdowns and applications software security requirements.
Industry standard information security certification such as CISSP, GIAC, etc.
Independent networking audit experience with associated techniques.
Effective leadership and IT policy formulation skills.
