| Position Description: |
This position is responsible for managing all day to day activities of the service and supporting the Associates who are providing care. In collaboration with the Director, the Nurse Manager is responsible for leadership and direction in accordance with organizational and departmental philosophy and goals. This position will assist the Director and Education Coordinator/Clinical Nurse Specialist (where applicable) in maintaining the highest degree of clinical and operational performance of the service. This position is accountable for daily operational activities on a 24-hour basis. This position must demonstrate a commitment of quality, cost effective, customer focused service to patients, physicians, the public and co-workers.

| Experience Required: |
5+ to 7 years. Bachelor's. American Heart Association CPR
- RN License
- 5 years clinical experience, 3 years NICU/Nursery experience
Must be a graduate of an accredited program of professional nursing. BSN preferred.
Must possess current license as a Registered Nurse from the State of Virginia.
BLS required for all. In addition to the BLS requirement, the follows Units require the following certifications: OB requires NRP.Pediatrics requires PALS.
Minimum 5 years clinical nursing experience.
Minimum 3 years specialty nursing experience.
Minimum 2 years management experience.
Other Qualifications:
Demonstrates proficiency in verbal and written communication; as well as computerized systems.
Experience with electronic systems and programs.
Ability to work in a stressful environment.
Demonstrates collaboration with physicians, staff and our Associates.
Demonstrates the ability to direct individual accomplishments toward organizational objectives.
