| Position Description: |
The Director of Radiology supervises the technical operation of Medical Imaging. Responsibilities also include:
Communicates, coordinates, delegates, and assigns the daily activities of the Radiology Department.
Reports directly to the COO.
Maintains technical proficiency and expertise in areas of responsibility.
Supervises patient flow and staffing.
Provides testing for patients with many different clinical conditions and all age ranges.
Maintains current procedural protocols, computer files, equipment maintenance program and quality control data.
Ensures facility technical and documentation expectations are consistent with JCAHO and meets Regulatory requirements in accordance with the State Rules and Regulations.
Ensures that the section meets regulatory requirements.
Works independently land proceeds on own initiative in compliance with departmental guidelines and practices.

| Position Comments: |
General Radiology, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound and Mammography. There are 74 FTE's with one Manager that reports to Director of Radiology. |
| Experience Required: |
Certified by ARRT
Graduate of 24-month AMA approved school, maintains current certification, Bachelor's degree preferred
3-5 years previous Director level experience
Must be able to handle a variety of responsibilities under pressure
Must function independently and making appropriate decisions
High degree of manual skills and dexterity necessary to assist in emergency situation, operate equipment, position patients, prepare medications and assist patients and physicians
